Bio
Music, computers, and books. The building blocks of my life, loosely piled together in that order to produce an ever-evolving, independent person.

I recently graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Computer Science degree and Technical Communication certification. I currently work at an independent music label in San Francisco.

This journal is mostly to keep myself occupied between spurts of designing | coding | writing | reading, and also to share random fun links and stories with friends. Don't expect anything too deep or moving.

Oh, and please don't hope that staring at text on a computer screen can provide you with a good indication of who I am as a real person! Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the funny (although sometimes bordering on annoying) quiz results, and all my sneaky links to Microsoft propaganda ;-)

If you're reading this, welcome back to reality. This is where all that glorious, unlimited potential of your youth has led. All that unfulfilled promise.

When did the future switch from being a promise to being a threat?

Old George Orwell got it backward. Big Brother isn't watching. He's singing and dancing. He's pulling rabbits out of a hat. Big Brother's busy holding your attention every moment you're awake. He's making sure your imagination withers until it's as useful as your appendix. And this being fed, it's worse than being watched. With the world always filling you, no one has to worry about what's in your mind. With everyone's imagination atrophied, no one will ever be a threat to the world.

The useless details, they're only useless until you connect them together. What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
